Thornhill is a beautiful, suburban community in the GTA, located on the northern border of Toronto. It was once a municipal village but now Thornhill is a community and it’s divided in between two municipalities along Yonge Street; the city of Vaughn is on the west side and the city of Markham is on the east. Thornhill is south and south-west of Richmond Hill. It has grown expansively from its early beginnings, reaching north to Richmond Hill and south to Toronto.
Thornhill is a welcoming, diverse community. Its residents enjoy all modern amenities for shopping, recreational activities, schools, libraries, and other conveniences. Along with all the amenities, there is an annual Thornhill Village Festival, which happens in September. The Thornhill Village Festival is a day filled with community spirit, which promotes the heritage of the old Thornhill, and the celebration of the community’s diverse cultural traditions.
